1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Spread the Funds ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Spread the Funds is a bill-splitting application that allows users to create groups, add shared expenses, adjust splits, and track settlements in real-time. The Service facilitates group expense coordination and tracking.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or fraudulent content
  • Use the Service for money laundering or other financial crimes

6. Funds and Contributions

  • Fund creators are responsible for the accurate description and management of their funds.
  • Contributions made through the Service are subject to processing by third-party payment providers.
  • Refund policies for contributions are determined by the fund creator and applicable law.
  • We are not responsible for disputes between fund participants.

7. Fees and Payments

Certain features of the Service may require payment. All fees are described within the application. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers, and their terms also apply to transactions made through the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Spread the Funds and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spread the Funds and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
